Recently, Vietnamese social media has been buzzing over a scandal involving a “harassment at a fashion shop” clip from Ninh Binh. The incident quickly grabbed attention not just because of the disturbing behavior caught on camera, but also due to suspicions that it might be a “fake content” stunt, especially since the uploader was previously involved in a staged “red Mercedes” incident.

Amid the storm of suspicion and outrage, someone completely unrelated was suddenly pulled into the drama and unfairly criticized: a beautiful woman and her husband were named just because they looked somewhat like the people in the clip.

As the clip about the harassment at the men’s clothing store spread, besides discussions about the truth behind the incident, netizens started hunting for the identities of the female staff and the “creepy guy.” Based on unclear images from the video, some accounts quickly targeted and wrongly linked a married couple to the case.
The woman named is Lan Anh, and her husband Nguyen Duc, who run a fashion business. The couple faced false information posted by numerous fan pages, community groups, and individuals. This led to a flood of hateful comments, judgments, and invasive questions on her personal page, making her a victim of baseless online attacks.

The couple had to blow up on social media, setting the record straight and expressing their frustration. Lan Anh firmly stated she has no connection to the store or the incident and demanded that the community stop spreading false information. Her response was not only about defending her personal reputation but also a warning against the reckless “witch hunts” and irresponsible judgments happening online.

Meanwhile, authorities confirmed that the young man in the clip is undergoing treatment for mental illness and his family has apologized. Still, Lan Anh and her husband continue to struggle with the fallout from the rumors.

This shows how fast information spreads on social media, and why every user needs to develop critical thinking and a strong sense of responsibility. Don’t let rush judgments turn innocent people into victims of baseless rumors.
