But recently, Toshiori seems to have undone all his hard work. In his latest video, he shocked many by casually eating fried duck eggs and even brought the mother duck on camera to capture her reaction.
These scenes quickly sparked a wave of backlash from viewers. Many called Toshiori “heartless,” saying the footage was deeply provocative. Others felt sorry for the mother duck, whose expression seemed confused and unaware of what was happening.
Facing heavy criticism, Toshiori quickly defended himself. He explained that Seolgi, the duck, is a domestic duck and isn’t particularly attached to her eggs. In fact, Toshiori claimed Seolgi treats her eggs like dirt or stones. Regarding eating the eggs in front of Seolgi, he argued that “Seolgi isn’t smart enough to understand what’s going on.”
He also denied letting Seolgi eat the fried eggs she laid herself. “Sometimes birds eat their own eggs to get extra nutrients,” Toshiori said. But he insisted that in the video, Seolgi only touched the egg with her foot and didn’t actually eat it.
