Over time, streamers and YouTubers have started creating personal challenges as a quick way to grab attention and produce unique content during their streams. For many, these challenges can be quirky or tough, but most focus on pushing their own limits. Take Beck, the YouTuber in this story, who surprised many by deciding to lock himself in his room until he reached Challenger rank in League of Legends.

In his latest video, Beck shocked fans by revealing he had locked himself in his room for 12 days straight and refused to leave his livestream setup until he hit 1000 Challenger points. It’s understandable since Beck is still relatively new with a smaller following, so setting this challenge was a way to draw more attention. But a recent event may have changed his mind.

While sitting on the floor enjoying some fast food delivery, Beck suddenly got a call from his mom. It turns out she had been watching his livestream and couldn’t hold back her concern. With the phone on speaker, viewers clearly heard his mom’s almost tearful voice: “Why are you eating like that? Poor boy.” Although his meal had pork and soup, the way Beck was eating looked pitiful, and it was even harder for his mom to watch.

Surprisingly, instead of telling Beck to stop, his mom encouraged him to finish his mission and end this “torture” soon. Whether Beck felt moved by her words is unclear, but by day 15, he still hadn’t reached his goal and decided to cancel the challenge, finally stepping out of his room and ending his self-imposed isolation.
