These days, YouTube content is incredibly diverse, and one of the most popular genres surprisingly involves real-life survival challenges. Keep in mind, this is actual survival in nature, not video games like PUBG. Most of these videos are dangerous and come with warnings for kids and viewers not to try them at home. Some challenges are so intense that just watching makes people shudder. A prime example is Nathaniel Peterson, a well-known YouTuber famous for these risky survival stunts.

Although he’s faced countless wild animals in his videos, Peterson’s most famous stunt is when he let a swarm of 3,000 bees cover his face, which ended with his face and lips swelling up in a terrifying way. But that didn’t stop him. Right after, he traveled all the way to Japan to test the venom of the Asian giant hornet, a creature so scary that just hearing its name sends chills.

Of course, not underestimating the danger of the hornet, Peterson came prepared with emergency medicine and syringes. He also carefully set up cameras to capture close-up footage of the sting’s effects over 24 hours. Even with his experience dealing with bees, the hornet’s sting was on a whole different level, and his wound quickly swelled up.

Even though he got treatment quickly, Peterson couldn’t escape the pain. The sting left him dizzy and numb to the point he had to scream. He admitted this was the scariest insect sting experience of his career.

On the bright side, this challenge earned Peterson over 30 million views, a huge number on YouTube. But this is definitely not something other YouTubers should copy. As every video warning says, what Peterson does is extremely dangerous and should never be tried at home.
