Xiaomi’s Mega Launch event entered its second day, bringing big surprises for fans. Alongside the foldable Mi Mix Fold phone, the Chinese smartphone giant revealed a new logo and brand identity costing 2 million yuan (around 7 billion dong).

Xiaomi got a fresh new look, and even a subtle update cost 7 billion dong.

The new identity, called “Alive,” was created by renowned Japanese designer Kenya Hara, a professor at Musashino Art University and chairman of the Nippon Design Center (NDC). The biggest change is a softer, rounded outline around the logo. The lettering and signature orange color remain the same, symbolizing Xiaomi’s youthful and energetic vibe. Black and silver continue as accent colors to highlight luxury, especially for premium product lines.
About the name “Alive,” Kenya explained it reflects Xiaomi’s philosophy and approach: humans living in harmony with technology, which is created by people themselves. This makes technology feel more alive and essential to meeting human needs. The talented designer emphasized this concept fits perfectly with Xiaomi, a brand known for bringing convenience to humanity through innovative tech.
