With less than a week to go until November 14, fans are already gathering online to celebrate the epic wedding of Xemesis and Xoai Non (real names Hieu Nghiem and Pham Thuy Trang). Their big day is being called one of the most talked-about weddings of 2020.
Here’s why everyone’s buzzing: both Xemesis and Xoai Non have massive followings, and their guest list is packed with big names from social media. Xemesis is known as Vietnam’s richest streamer and a YouTube heir, so this wedding is definitely one to dream about.
But before this sweet ending, their relationship sparked plenty of online chatter and controversy.
Their love story began at a gaming event in late 2018. The famous streamer was a guest, while the hot girl attended with friends. After the event, Xoai Non added Xemesis on Facebook, and he was the first to message her.
In late February 2019, Xemesis posted the first photo with his girlfriend on his personal page with the caption “Young Mango,” which later became Xoai Non’s nickname.
But it was actually PewPew, Xemesis’s close friend from the “Four Kings” streamer group, who first called her Xoai Non. At the time they went public, she was still under 18.
Probably because of this, on March 12, 2019, Xemesis officially introduced his girlfriend to friends and fans during the opening of PewPew’s second bakery branch.
At that time, many were surprised because Trang Pham was born in 2002 and was only 17, while Xemesis was in his early 30s, a 13-year age gap that raised eyebrows.
People also speculated about the economic differences between their families. Xemesis comes from a wealthy background and studied abroad, while Trang Pham had a modest upbringing and dropped out in 10th grade. Some even accused Xoai Non of dating Xemesis for money and being a gold digger.
Despite the backlash, neither Xemesis nor Xoai Non cared. The streamer said people didn’t really understand their relationship, which is why the rumors spread. He also mentioned having plenty of experience in love and knowing exactly what their relationship meant.
Interestingly, Xemesis revealed Trang Pham was the first girlfriend his family approved of in Vietnam because she didn’t party or stay out late. “I feel really lucky to have met Trang,” he shared.
During their relationship, Xoai Non faced some controversies, like her comment: “Studying less but making more money is better than studying hard but not earning anything. Society today only cares about money, you get it?” She later apologized, but Xemesis stood by her side through the criticism.
In mid-September 2019, Xemesis proposed with a stunning diamond ring. The couple shared photos reminiscent of famous Vietnamese stars Đông Nhi and Ông Cao Thắng, receiving tons of well wishes.
Soon after, they showed off gorgeous wedding photos featuring the bride’s stunning beauty and the groom’s sharp look.
On November 8, 2019, their engagement ceremony took place and caught public attention. After that, they moved in together and often shared daily life moments on social media.
And on November 14, exactly one year after their engagement, Xemesis and Xoai Non will officially become husband and wife. Their grand wedding is set at a venue over 400 meters high, with a guest list full of famous faces. Once again, congrats to this talented couple!
