Honor of Kings has been a huge success in China. Even though it was only released there for many years, it consistently topped global revenue charts. This includes combined earnings with Arena of Valor in key markets like Vietnam, Thailand, and Taiwan.

However, many Vietnamese gamers believe that even when Honor of Kings launches its global version, it won’t be able to compete with this particular mobile MOBA. This game is considered superior to Arena of Valor not only in Southeast Asia but also worldwide.

That game is Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This opinion even comes from some Arena of Valor players in Vietnam, not just Mobile Legends fans. While Mobile Legends isn’t as popular as Arena of Valor in Vietnam and can’t match Honor of Kings in China, Vietnamese players say it outshines both on a global scale.
Of course, Honor of Kings hasn’t officially launched worldwide yet and is still in testing in some markets. But Tencent’s slow global rollout has allowed Mobile Legends to dominate with almost no competition. In Southeast Asia alone, Mobile Legends has surpassed Arena of Valor by being favored in more countries.

While Arena of Valor is mainly popular in Vietnam and Thailand, Mobile Legends is the top pick in Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and more. That alone is enough for Mobile Legends to outpace Arena of Valor.
On a global level, Mobile Legends also leads over Arena of Valor. Honor of Kings still has no official global release date. Even when it launches worldwide, it will take a long time to update content, adjust graphics from the Chinese version, and capture market share. So, saying Mobile Legends outperforms Tencent’s two big titles isn’t far off, at least for now.
