Vietnamese esports teams rarely make it to international competitions, and even fewer reach the finals. That’s why CrossFire missing out on the global stage in recent years has been a real loss. Now, with VTC Online pushing hard to bring Vietnam’s team back to the CrossFire World Championship, it’s a crucial step to restore and boost the reputation of Vietnamese pro players among the world’s top CrossFire nations.
After careful preparation since early 2021, VTC Online announced that CFEL Vietnam will officially launch this year. Vietnam will join the international CF Esports scene organized by Smilegate Entertainment. This move is set to revive the Vietnamese CrossFire community and bring fierce competition to the global CrossFire esports arena.
After discussions, VTC Online and Smilegate Entertainment agreed on a plan to hold domestic tournaments to select teams. The result is the official launch of the Vietnam CFEL league.
VTC Online’s tentative tournament schedule is as follows:
– April: CFVN Championship Season 1 to select 8 teams for CFEL 2021 (Bomb Mode).
– May to June: Vietnam CFEL 2021 Season 1 (Bomb Mode).
– August to September: Vietnam CFEL 2021 Season 2 (Bomb Mode).
– October: CFVN Championship Season 2 to pick the team for the CFS 2021 Grand Finals (Bomb Mode).
– December: CFS 2021 Grand Finals (Bomb Mode).
CFVN Championship will run across two seasons, each serving as official qualifiers for CFEL 2021 Vietnam Season 1 and the CFS 2021 Grand Finals.
Season 1 of CFVN Championship will select representatives for CFEL 2021 Vietnam Season 1, while Season 2 will be the official qualifier for the CFS 2021 Grand Finals.
Additionally, there will be online international tournaments planned during the break between the two CFEL Vietnam 2021 seasons.
These new domestic tournaments will be a chance for rising stars to prove themselves, for strong teams to face off again, and for reigning champions to defend their top spot. Each event offers a fresh opportunity for pro teams to change their standing and for ambitious new squads to build their reputation and chase their dreams of going pro.
