Vietnam Makes Mark with Face Mask That Kills 99% of Coronavirus
The face mask capable of killing up to 99% of SARS-CoV-2 was invented using Nano Biotech technology and has received CE certification from Europe, allowing the label to be printed on the packaging. Beyond that, this invention has also been registered in the US. The entire innovation is 100% developed and controlled by Vietnamese experts, from raw material production to the finished product, all co-produced in Vietnam.

This invention comes from Lai Nam Hai, founder and inventor at Wakamono, a company established 10 years ago specializing in Nano Biotech research and raw material production at the High-Tech Park in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City.

Specifically, the Wakamono mask has been proven effective against various viruses (both enveloped and non-enveloped) and bacteria (gram-negative and gram-positive). This makes it an essential product for doctors, healthcare workers, military, police, airline staff, teachers, pandemic response teams, and anyone at high risk of infection or already infected to prevent spreading the virus to others.

The Wakamono mask is confirmed to kill various types of viruses.
Not only does the Wakamono mask kill viruses up to 99% in real-world use, but it has also been validated by independent labs around the world, including in Germany, the US, India, China, Singapore, and Canada.
How Was the Wakamono Mask Developed?
Starting early 2020, Wakamono Joint Stock Company began researching a natural compound capable of killing coronavirus. On March 31, 2020, a Bionano compound named Gecide was officially created. Though derived from natural sources, using Nano Biotech technology, Gecide can kill 99% of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria as well as enveloped and non-enveloped viruses.

Lai Thanh Hai, the company’s director, said the Covid-19 pandemic inspired the idea to coat masks with the virus-killing Gecide layer. It took six months to test and gather results. All tests showed very promising results, with the coronavirus being killed within just 30 seconds of contact.
Wakamono sells this superior mask at half the price of similar global products while maintaining equivalent quality. The company’s first priority is serving its own people. Currently, the mask is also available on international e-commerce platforms like Ozon in Russia, Jumia in Africa, Etsy, and Japan’s Rakuten. Wakamono plans to launch on Amazon as soon as possible.
