COVID-19 Cases in Vietnam:
– As of 6 AM on January 31: Vietnam has a total of 914 COVID-19 cases from local transmission, with 221 new cases reported since January 27.
– From 6 PM on January 30 to 6 AM on January 31: 14 new cases, all community transmission, with zero imported cases quarantined upon arrival.
Details on the 14 new cases: all are community transmissions. Specifically:
– Bac Ninh Province reports 1 female patient, 29 years old, residing in Chi Linh City, Hai Duong Province. She is the wife of patient 1565 and mother of patient 1652, both previously confirmed cases linked to the outbreak in Chi Linh City, Hai Duong.
– Hoa Binh Province reports 2 cases, residents of Tan Lac District and Hoa Binh City, linked to the Chi Linh outbreak in Hai Duong. Epidemiological investigations are ongoing.
– Gia Lai Province reports 2 cases, residents of Ayun Pa Town, with a history of contact with two previously confirmed patients in the same area.
– Hanoi City reports 5 cases, residents of Nam Tu Liem District, with a history of contact with patient 1694.
– Hai Duong Province reports 4 new cases, all in Chi Linh City. Further epidemiological details are being investigated.
Quarantine figures: The total number of close contacts and people entering from affected areas under health monitoring (quarantine) is 23,065, including:

Treatment update: According to the Treatment Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, so far, Vietnam has successfully treated 1,456 COVID-19 patients.
Currently, among patients being treated, 6 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 4 have tested negative twice, and 8 have tested negative three times.
The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Vietnam remains at 35, all patients with severe underlying conditions, including 31 in Da Nang, 3 in Quang Nam, and 1 in Quang Tri.
