The PUBG Nations Cup (PNC) brings together the world’s top PUBG teams to compete. After a three-year wait, this event made its official return. Held in Bangkok, Thailand from June 16 to June 19, it featured 16 of the strongest teams with a total prize pool of $500,000 (about 11.6 billion VND).

Vietnam’s team headed into PNC 2022 with star players Sapauu (Bảo Nam United), Clories (Bảo Nam United), YmCud (CERBERUS Esports), HaiSaki (CERBERUS Esports), all led by coach DjChip (Refund Gaming).

Over three days and 15 matches, following the SUPER scoring system, Vietnam didn’t make a big impact on the first day. But in the final rounds, they secured consecutive WWCDs (Winner Winner Chicken Dinners), climbing to 2nd place on the leaderboard. In the end, Vietnam scored 177 points total, including 99 kills. Their emotional performance on the last day earned them the runner-up spot behind the United Kingdom at PUBG Nations Cup 2022.

As a result, the Vietnam PUBG team will take home $58,000 (around 1.3 billion VND) plus a share of revenue from PUBG Nations Cup 2022 event merchandise.

Securing such an impressive international result is a meaningful gift from the Vietnam PUBG team to their fans back home. It also helps cement Vietnam’s name in the global gaming community.
