TikToker H.S gained fame for his honest food reviews, giving straightforward opinions on the places he visited. But about a year ago, he stirred up controversy, especially after visiting Độ Mixi’s restaurant. There, H.S started with comments like “I feel uneasy before even eating” and “I’m only paying 80,000 VND for this meal,” then shocked viewers by saying, “This might be the place I’m most reluctant to review because there are so many immature people here.”

The owner of Độ Mixi’s restaurant said he was “speechless”: “I’m honestly scared and don’t know what to say… I think TikTok has many good sides, it can boost people quickly, but sometimes it’s too fast and too free, and things get out of control. Our generation, even just 4-5 years older, learned to respect others and how to connect properly. It’s not about doing things just to get attention by causing drama or fights.”

After facing backlash online, H.S apologized. Later, his reviews became softer and more balanced. But recently, in a video reviewing what’s called the worst restaurant in Hanoi, H.S played a tourist visiting the place, openly calling out the food as strange and low quality. He also claimed staff threatened him and didn’t hesitate to curse while sharing his experience.

The post went viral, drawing lots of attention. Many who had bad experiences at the restaurant sympathized with H.S. However, others felt his rude style wasn’t appropriate and said without the foul language, his videos would be much more professional.
