Đạt Villa, whose real name is Đặng Thành Đạt from Hanoi, runs a TikTok channel with over 9 million followers and nearly 400 million likes. He’s one of the platform’s popular young creators, known for viral videos especially about love and his wedding with his foreign streamer wife that made waves on social media.

However, that’s not enough for Đạt Villa to be called an “artist” as he tagged himself on his TikTok channel. This self-given title has sparked confusion and even backlash from netizens. The main reason is that Đạt Villa hasn’t had many standout artistic achievements aside from acting in his own music videos and clips. Plus, he’s been involved in some unnecessary drama.

Previously, Đạt Villa stirred controversy by claiming his TikTok channel was worth 100 billion VND. He quickly denied this and said he never planned to sell it. There was also a spat with fellow TikToker Lộc Fuho, which many saw as a fake PR stunt to boost his fame.
On a popular online forum discussing this, many users criticized Đạt Villa for “claiming” the artist title. Despite the backlash, he hasn’t made any moves to change his tag.

Besides TikTok, Đạt Villa has also tried his hand at singing, fashion business, and even started an esports team competing in major national tournaments…
