Recently, actress Willow Shields, who played Primrose Everdeen (Katniss Everdeen’s sister, portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence) in The Hunger Games series, took to social media to share her own “hot” photos. Along with the images, she posted a lengthy message responding to a hacker who threatened to use her private photos to blackmail her.
The actress explained, “I was being blackmailed over some sensitive photos of myself that I probably shouldn’t have shared with the world. I took back control and shared them myself first. This is the photo the hacker sent me along with threats that they would post it online. They said there might be more ‘naughty’ photos of me released with the same intent.
But I won’t let anyone else control my choices or myself. I’ve reported this to the FBI and truly hope they will investigate this crime. I’m sharing this because I know so many people are affected daily by hackers leaking their private photos online. These acts directly destroy the fragile souls of many. I won’t feel ashamed for this because it’s my body…”
