Streaming isnt as explosive or dreamy a career for young people as it used to be. Platforms are tightening rules, but mostly the market is saturated and viewer tastes have shifted with so many new, young streamers popping up over the years. Still, in South Korea, streaming remains a dream job for many.
Take Sumdaeng for example. As a newcomer, her viewer count is pretty low every time she streams. At an event with other well-known streamers, she openly admitted she averages only about 7 to 10 viewers per stream a number thats tiny in todays streaming world.
Thats understandable for a beginner. But what Sumdaeng revealed next shocked everyone, even veteran streamers at the event. She said shes only been streaming for about 22 days, yet her average income from donations alone has hit 6 million won (around 120 million VND), an enviable amount for any streamer.
Only 7 viewers per stream but making 120 million VND a month from donations alone, Sumdaeng has many people amazed by her luck. Of course, her cute face and attractive look are a big plus, the main reason fans are eager to donate so generously to her.
