The rise of social media platforms has opened endless opportunities for business and connection. But with this freedom comes a darker side: harmful content that breaks laws and ethics just to grab views and make money.
Recently, both the Vietnamese online community and Vietnamese living in Japan were outraged by a young woman’s livestream series. She went beyond typical online selling by openly using drugs and stimulants right on camera to attract attention. Even more shocking, when faced with public backlash, she defiantly flashed her chest on stream to challenge viewers. This incident is not only a wake-up call about deviant behavior but also damages the image of Vietnamese people abroad.
Livestream Breaking the Law: Using Drugs to Boost Sales
The controversy started with a Vietnamese woman living and working in Japan who runs an online store. In a recent livestream, viewers were stunned to see her acting dazed, speaking incoherently, and openly using tools and substances suspected to be illegal drugs on camera.

Her goal was clear: spark curiosity, pull thousands of curious viewers in, and push the livestream to trend on the platform. At peak chat activity, she quickly mixed in sales posts to close orders and maximize profits. Turning serious illegal acts into cheap clickbait and cash grabs horrified many decent viewers.
During the stream, many netizens and Vietnamese in Japan left warnings and harsh criticism. They demanded she stop using stimulants immediately, reminding her this breaks laws in both Vietnam and Japan and tarnishes the community’s reputation.
Defiant Flashing to Challenge Critics
In another broadcast, instead of owning up, apologizing, or turning off the camera, she reacted wildly. To fight back against criticism and show defiance, she suddenly exposed her chest on camera to provoke the audience.

Using her body to argue with anti-fans pushed public outrage to the limit. It exposed a serious gap in awareness, ethics, and mindset among some young people who mistakenly think the internet is a place where they can do anything without consequences.
Immediate Backlash and Community Boycott
The young woman’s actions quickly sparked a strong boycott from Vietnamese living, studying, and working in Japan. Many students and workers warned that such deviant, illegal public behavior only fuels negative stereotypes and hostility from locals toward the Vietnamese community.

This case once again reveals the dark side of some content creators’ desperate thirst for views. To close a few more sales or gain thousands of followers, they’re willing to sacrifice a woman’s dignity and self-respect, even trample on the law.
Social media may be virtual, but the consequences are very real. Using drugs destroys the girl’s health and nervous system, while her crude flashing earns disgusted stares. Fame tied to scandal and shame will never bring lasting value.
