Recently, a female streamer’s complaint about family pressure to get married has stirred up a lot of buzz online.
During a live broadcast, she revealed that her family introduced her to a “candidate” who only earns 2,000 yuan (about 7 million VND) a month, which left her frustrated and laughing bitterly.

“Why introduce me to someone making just 2,000 a month? Am I supposed to cover his food expenses too?” said the streamer known as Kha Te openly on stream.
Her complaint quickly made viewers in the chat room laugh, including a colleague who was connected with her. When Kha Te shared her story, a chat room manager suddenly commented, “Just say you already have a boyfriend, I can pretend to be him!” But he was immediately shut down. Kha Te refused flat out: “If I say I have a boyfriend, I have to bring him home to meet my family. Bringing someone like that home would embarrass me!” Despite the harsh rejection, the manager didn’t give up and even asked about her standards.

In response, the streamer said the manager wasn’t handsome, didn’t have much money, and definitely didn’t meet her criteria. As soon as she said this, the chat room burst into laughter again. Later in the stream, Kha Te asked viewers whether she should choose someone with money who treats her well, or someone who only has love but no money or assets. Some viewers asked why she didn’t just pick someone who has both, but Kha Te admitted it’s hard to find such a person and sometimes you have to learn to be satisfied.

Soon after, many viewers joked that at this rate she might still be single at 40. The story quickly spread, attracting lots of comments on social media. Most viewers felt her honest reaction reflected the real feelings of many young female streamers today, who often interact with wealthy “big spenders” online, making it harder than ever to date ordinary people.
