The story centers on Nicro, a Canadian streamer famous for playing Mario Odyssey and Wii Sports apps. His standout achievement? Speedrunning Mario Odyssey in under an hour, making him the first person in the world to do so.

However, at the peak of his career, Nicro surprised many fans by announcing a break from streaming to focus on personal matters. While that sounded normal enough, no one expected his hiatus to last a full nine months. He only recently returned, once again shocking viewers with his unusual content.

On this comeback, Nicro stunned fans by doing something no other streamer dared: livestreaming nonstop for 15 days straight while repeatedly saying the word “Mario.” Dressed as the famous plumber himself and even handcuffing himself to a TV, Nicro challenged himself to say “Mario” one million times.

Plus, every time someone donated, the number of “Mario” repetitions he had to say increased accordingly. It took Nicro 15 days to complete the challenge, and he refused to push further, admitting he was completely exhausted.

Don’t underestimate this challenge. If you do the math, saying “Mario” one million times at one second per word equals 2,777 hours, or about 115 days straight. That doesn’t even include time for eating or sleeping. So finishing this in 15 days is seriously impressive. Still, many viewers think the whole stunt was pretty ridiculous.
