But recently, she found herself in a frustrating situation when someone stole her personal photos and used them to advertise “sensitive” services on social media. The ad blatantly promoted massage services, water beds, and attentive care, leaving her both upset and shocked.
During her latest livestream, Beryl told tens of thousands of viewers that she discovered her photos were being used on a strange website to lure customers to a personal massage studio.
The post’s description hinted at special services and mentioned a newly added water bed, which made the famous streamer furious. Known for her energetic and humorous personality, Beryl half-jokingly said on stream, “I’m already exhausted from work, and now someone’s telling me to open a few more studios?!”
At first, she thought it was a joke, but after checking closely, she found the impersonator was using dozens of her real photos, including behind-the-scenes and casual shots, clearly with the intent to scam professionally.
Refusing to stay silent, Beryl decided to expose the scammer herself. She changed her profile picture and account info to a male photo, then messaged the person using her images. Throughout the conversation, the impersonator kept sending seductive photos to lure her, but when asked to send a real-time photo, he dodged and changed the subject.
Even though the situation was obviously suspicious, the scammer didn’t realize he was being trapped and continued trying to get her to top up game cards, a common online scam tactic. At that point, Beryl revealed her true identity and warned she would report him to the police if the posts weren’t removed. Seconds later, the account blocked her and disappeared.
Right after the livestream ended, viewers flooded the chat with comments expressing sympathy and amusement. Although the issue was resolved, Beryl warned her fans to stay alert against fake accounts, especially those using celebrities’ photos to promote sensitive services.
