There’s no denying that Stellar Blade has a huge buzz right now, even though it’s a PlayStation 5 exclusive with no PC version. Still, a lot of gamers are super interested mainly because of the lead character Eve, who’s not only stunning but also comes with plenty of sexy outfits designed by developer Shift Up.
This was clear from the game trailers and demo versions. But when Stellar Blade officially launched, things changed. Some of Eve’s outfits were altered in the day-one patch, and fans believe these changes were due to censorship. The adjustments made the costumes much less revealing and toned down the sex appeal. Compared to the original, more daring outfits, the difference is huge.
It turns out the original designs only show up if you have a physical copy of Stellar Blade and install it without the initial patch. This sparked a lot of anger since no one liked seeing Eve’s sex appeal toned down so much. Some players are even planning to boycott PlayStation Plus, blaming Sony for the censorship. Many have also demanded refunds for Stellar Blade, accusing the game of false advertising.
A petition to restore the original costumes has gathered over 35,000 signatures so far. This shows that while Stellar Blade might not be perfect, Eve’s appeal is something no gamer wants to miss.
