Recently, social media forums have been buzzing over photos of a gold-filled wedding in Quang Ninh with the caption: “The most stressful wedding in Vietnam? Definitely Quang Ninh. The feast is all crab, blood cockles, and mantis shrimp, putting pressure on guests. The dowry? Gold by the kilogram, cash stacked in bundles, and land deeds piled up, all adding pressure on the bride and groom.”
The post included images of a beautiful bride wearing dozens of gold necklaces, bracelets, and rings sparkling on her fingers. In other photos, the bride’s dowry dazzled many with dozens of gold bars arranged in an intricately designed box. Cash was bundled neatly, placed next to a land deed and diamond rings.


According to sources, the wedding took place on July 28 and 29 in Uong Bi city, Quang Ninh province. The bride’s name is Hanh Nhi, and the groom is The Tien. During the ceremony, the couple received a total of 60 taels of gold, 1 billion VND in cash, along with diamond earrings and rings. The groom’s family also gifted a land deed for 700 square meters.
