Yesterday was one of the most dramatic days for the League of Legends: Wild Rift community and for the so-called “king of boosting” Bé Chanh himself. The former pro player was accused of starving his teammates for three days, only giving each person 60,000 VND per day for two meals. On top of that, Bé Chanh was criticized for unprofessional behavior during matches and team training, often losing his temper and blaming teammates despite being the one who “fed” the enemy.

Within 24 hours, Bé Chanh announced his retirement from professional Wild Rift competition. It’s still unclear what the “former jungle god” will do next, but he did respond to the accusations directed at him.

“You even misspelled my name trying to expose me. Then you threatened me, which is enough to get you reported to the police. Two fools, while others buy houses and run teams or internet cafes, what do you have? When on the team, GMH was a mess, sleeping until 3 or 4 a.m. and refusing to wake up. If you want to expose someone, look at yourself first. We’re dumb, but I’m the best, so you have to expose me. If you’re here for drama, watch it smartly. Humans aren’t cattle to be led around.”

Bé Chanh also denied starving his teammates, saying, “Oh, and about starving them, those guys who were supposedly starving are actually fatter than me. I’m skinny like a skeleton. People want success before hardship. I even treated them to a seafood feast costing nearly 5 million VND and they still complained. Next time, I’ll have to bring abalone and shark fin soup. I’m used to eating instant noodles when I lose.”

Responding to the threats from the accuser, Bé Chanh said, “We’re all grown-ups here, who solves things with fists? If you want to, go to the police. If everyone acted like ‘yangho’ (gangsters), it would be chaos. I’m the kind of person who says no to fighting.”
It looks like this drama isn’t over yet, as many details remain unclear. We don’t know who’s really at fault, but we’ll keep you updated as the story develops.
