As we reported, Phimmoi is probably one of the most popular pirated movie sites among internet users in Vietnam. Not only does it have a massive library of films from Asia to Europe, but Phimmoi is also famous for its insanely fast upload and subtitle updates. The site has been blocked or taken down multiple times, yet it always “comes back to life” like nothing happened. Many internet users even joke that “Phimmoi is immortal.” However, according to the latest info spreading on social media, this pirated streaming site now faces permanent shutdown after the admin team’s identities were revealed.
Despite many blocks, the site has been organized and running for over 7 years. But now, investigators have identified the admin team and decided to press criminal charges against them. Surprisingly, fans recently discovered a new version of the pirated movie site called Phimmoiplus. In terms of design, Phimmoiplus looks almost identical to Phimmoi and its related versions like Phimmoiz, Phimmoizz, or Phimmoizzz. At the bottom of the homepage, there’s a message from the site’s developers: “We are back with a new mission. Phimmoi, Phimmoiz, Phimmoizz are old domains. Please visit the new domain PhimMoiPlus now.”
This news immediately sparked debates across social media. Many viewers were shocked by Phimmoi’s dramatic comeback. Despite the risk of criminal prosecution, PhimMoiPlus was launched as the successor to the pirated site Phimmoi. While some oppose it, many users say they are so used to watching movies on Phimmoi that PhimMoiPlus is likely just another way for the admin team to keep profiting from illegal streaming. Some fans even joked that if PhimMoiPlus gets shut down, the next sites might be called Phimmoipro or Phimmoipromax.
