As one of the top four streamers, PewPew may not be as viral as before, but fans still keep a close eye on his updates and daily life.
Recently, PewPew shared a photo showing his right leg in a cast along with a message announcing he would be “taking a break” for a month, which worried many fans: “Nothing left to cry or be sad about… See you all, my master brothers and sisters in this wild world or the city, under the moonlight for a month of chess and moon gazing…”
He also added: “Just a tiny crack in my leg bone, no big deal, guys… small stuff…”
Fans were concerned about how PewPew got injured during the pandemic. It wasn’t until his close friend Độ Mixi revealed the story on a livestream that everyone found the reason both touching and hilarious.
While many businesses were affected by COVID-19, PewPew went back to his hometown in Hải Phòng. Hearing that his close friends were organizing a fun soccer match, he took a bus to Hanoi to join in.
According to Độ Mixi: “PewPew showed up in full gear, very careful and different from the rest. He wore high socks and even knee braces. While the others warmed up, PewPew was juggling the ball, joking around, and accidentally kicked a long shot. The ball flew over a 15-meter fence and smashed a neighbor’s flower pot.”
Afterwards, while his teammates played inside, PewPew had to clean up the dirt and broken pieces. Unfortunately, just minutes into playing, he twisted his ankle and had to quit the game. Độ Mixi couldn’t help but tease him: “He took a bus from Hải Phòng, broke someone’s flower pot, sprained his ankle, and then went home. What a meaningful and fun soccer day.”
Fans felt a mix of sympathy and amusement over PewPew’s unlucky mishap. They sent their best wishes for a speedy recovery and hope to see him back streaming soon.
