Specifically, Mark explained, “There’s a new update for end-to-end encrypted chats on Messenger. With this new feature, you’ll get a notification if someone takes a screenshot of a message before it disappears. We’re also adding GIFs, stickers, and reaction features to encrypted chats.” According to Meta, the screenshot alert will roll out in the coming weeks. This feature applies to self-destructing messages in secret conversations. As the name suggests, when someone takes a screenshot, a notification will pop up in the chat window so everyone knows about it.
