Toru Ueda, a 32-year-old highway engineer living in Tokyo, is still single with no plans to date or marry. Instead, he decided to spend a big chunk of his savings to fulfill a long-held dream. Specifically, he spent 3 million yen (over 5,780 USD) to have a special wolf costume custom-made.

The highway engineer carefully researched and chose a skilled workshop to bring his vision to life. After nearly two months, the costume was completed. Ueda said he was amazed by how detailed, sharp, and intricate the final product was.
The 32-year-old man wears the costume at home to relax, relieve stress, and forget life’s difficulties. Ueda shared, “When I wear this outfit, I don’t feel like a human anymore. I’m not involved in human relationships. I can forget all kinds of problems, work-related or otherwise.”
He added, “Wearing this costume is an incredible, empowering experience for me.”

While Ueda used to keep his expensive costume a secret from friends, he’s now more open about it. He even invites friends over to see it and lets them try on the unique outfit.
