A man named Yang from Jiangsu, China, often watches livestreams in his free time. For him, it’s a way to unwind after stressful work hours. He especially liked a beautiful female streamer based in Shenyang. He kept sending her expensive gifts, from designer bags to high-end cosmetics.
Yang was so infatuated with the streamer that he repeatedly asked to meet her in person but was always turned down.
One day, on a whim, Yang went all out and donated 620,000 yuan (over 2 billion VND) to the streamer just to meet her. He even flew to Shenyang to see her face to face.
Male Fan Demands Refund After Meeting Streamer
When they met, Yang was deeply disappointed. He felt the streamer looked very different in real life compared to her livestreams, calling her “extremely ugly” and saying they seemed like two different people. Feeling unhappy, he demanded the streamer return the 620,000 yuan. He also called the police and contacted a TV station to report the situation.
The streamer was caught off guard by the refund demand. She explained that using beauty filters is common practice among her and many colleagues, and it’s also a way to show respect to her audience.
Regarding the refund, she honestly said she could only return 310,000 yuan because the platform takes half as fees.
Yang wasn’t satisfied with this explanation and continued to publicly call her out. Viewers felt the streamer didn’t have to return the money since Yang donated voluntarily without any coercion or scams.
