Back in May, we covered a super unique ARAM match that lasted 2 hours and 47 minutes. A player named Happy Wind Man shared the game on the League-funny.com forum, grabbing a lot of attention from the League of Legends community. At that time, it was the longest ARAM match on record.
However, that record was broken just yesterday, October 24, by a Reddit user named Kindred_OTP. He posted about an ARAM game that lasted a whopping 3 hours and 10 minutes while playing with close friends. He also mentioned that after about an hour into the match, both teams agreed to keep the game going as long as possible to set the new record.
The funny part is that after the match ended, the League client didn’t recognize it at all. This was due to a bug in the match history feature where the end-of-game notification couldn’t connect to Riot’s servers. Kindred_OTP even contacted Riot’s support team about the issue, but somehow the game was labeled a “ghost game” and never officially recorded.
Normally, ARAM matches are quick and casual, lasting about 15 to 20 minutes. So spending over 3 hours in a single ARAM game takes a lot of patience from all 10 players involved. It’s a shame the match history wasn’t saved, but it’s definitely a memorable experience for Kindred_OTP and his friends.
