As one of Vietnam’s top TikTokers, Lê Bống has plenty of fans but also her fair share of haters.
In the past, she was often talked about. One of the biggest criticisms was her habit of sticking out her tongue in TikTok videos. Many viewers found this gesture off-putting.
At the time, she explained, “Everyone sees this differently. Are you sure you never stuck your tongue out when you were shy or teasing friends as a kid?”
For overly negative comments, Lê Bống fired back boldly: “One day, I might show up in your dreams. What if in that dream, I’m sticking out my tongue and… licking your face?” Clearly, she didn’t see it as inappropriate.

However, Lê Bống has since shifted away from that controversial image, adopting a more mature and modest style. Reflecting on being labeled the “tongue-sticking TikToker,” she admitted she didn’t fully understand the line between being provocative and sexy back then.
Recently, fans have seen her trying new things like hosting and acting. She’s been given roles with strong personalities to showcase her range.
After playing Duyên in “Missed the Blue Day”, a role that earned her the Most Beloved TV Actress award at the 2024 Golden Kite Awards held last September in Khánh Hòa, her second role as teacher Dịu Tâm in “No Time” followed.

Despite the hype, she hasn’t quite won over the audience yet. On a popular forum, viewers shared comments like:
“I don’t know about her tongue-sticking past, but many amateur actors do well. Lê Bống’s acting isn’t great. Her hair always looks messy, her eyes lack expression. Her lines feel awkward, her voice isn’t engaging. Whenever she’s on screen, I lose interest in the show.”
“I like Lê Bống, but her acting feels stiff. She needs to work harder.”
“Not terrible, but not impressive either. No memorable moments. The actress playing chị Nhớ did better than teacher Tâm in this show.”
“Honestly, I want to like her. But every time I see her on TV, that tongue-sticking image just pops back into my head…”

Earlier, her controversial image caused a setback. Although she was lucky enough to be chosen as an MC for a Tet holiday show and finished filming, all her segments were cut before airing.
This incident made her reflect deeply. Now, she’s once again struggling to shake off the lingering negative impressions.
