News about Khoa Pug going bankrupt and losing everything after a series of failed investments has been grabbing a lot of attention on social media, especially since the YouTuber has been known for years for his billion-VND vlogs, flashy lifestyle, and jaw-dropping spending.

Around 7 PM on February 11, Khoa Pug shared more details on his personal TikTok about what led to his financial failure. Sitting in his car as usual, he posted a clip with the caption: “The reasons behind my failure.”
In the video, the YouTuber was honest: “Arrogance, pride, and overconfidence. These are the mistakes I made that led to today’s failure.”
He explained that although he often advised others not to put all their eggs in one basket when investing, he failed to follow his own advice. “I always tell you not to put all your eggs in one basket. I say it well but can’t do it myself. I was too eager to win, too young,” Khoa Pug said.
He also admitted that early financial success made him complacent and it took a lot of thought before he dared to publicly admit his bankruptcy: “I thought I was good because I made money young… But as the saying goes, don’t brag before you’re 70. Making money young doesn’t mean you’ll keep it when you’re older. I want to confess to you that I failed and lost everything. I’ve spent many nights thinking about it. As you can see, my eyes are tired.”
The YouTuber opened up that success brings many people around you, but failure changes everything. “When you’re rich, people flock to you. But when you fail, look around and see who’s still there. That’s why no one likes to talk about failure, everyone wants to hide it,” he said.
Earlier, on the evening of February 10, Khoa Pug surprised fans by posting a video announcing his bankruptcy after a string of losing investments.
“I’ve failed, everyone. In this video, I just want to let you know that I’m bankrupt. Recently, I’ve been losing money on investments,” he said in a clip over a minute long.

By the evening of February 11, this video had reached 4.2 million views and tens of thousands of interactions. Many social media forums quickly shared the news.
In the comments, Khoa Pug said he will continue creating content on YouTube and other platforms since this remains his main source of income. With nearly 4.8 million subscribers, his channel still focuses on travel vlogs, food experiences, and exploring local spots both in Vietnam and abroad. Recently, he returned to Vietnam to do a cross-country trip and produce more down-to-earth videos.
Khoa Pug (real name Nguyen Anh Khoa, born 1992, from Khanh Hoa) is one of Vietnam’s prominent YouTubers. At his peak, he was known for luxury experience vlogs, reviewing high-end hotels and expensive restaurants in the US, Dubai, and other countries. Many of his videos hit 5 to 7 million views, impressive numbers from 6 to 7 years ago.

His image has been tied to big financial flexes, from spending billions on trips and luxury services to eye-catching choices like leg-lengthening surgery, rumored to cost about 3 billion VND. He also stirred talk when he posted a vlog unboxing the world’s most expensive iPhone, which cost 300 million VND.
However, in recent years, his channel’s views have not exploded like before. The content mostly revolves around the same formula of experience sharing and showing prices, while viewers’ tastes have shifted toward short videos and fresher formats.
Recently, Khoa Pug launched a TikTok channel and renamed his YouTube channel to “Khoa Pug – Solo Trip” to expand his audience, including international viewers. He admitted that the habit of watching short videos has greatly affected the watch time of his long vlogs, which used to be his strength.
