Though he started on TikTok with very simple videos, within just a year the Black creator Khaby Lame has gained tens of millions of followers and a massive fanbase.
Born on March 9, 2000, in Turin, Italy, the 21-year-old began posting his first clips in March 2020 and quickly became a fan favorite online. At first, he joined TikTok just for fun, but fame came to him surprisingly fast.

Khaby became famous for his short, funny videos where he doesn’t say a word, but his expressions perfectly mock people who “make simple things complicated,” making viewers laugh out loud. His videos rack up millions of views.

After consistently posting and managing his TikTok channel, Khaby Lame’s account grew from over 20 million followers to more than 38 million now, still climbing fast and closing in on 40 million.
He is currently the most followed Italian on the platform. It’s expected that very soon this TikToker will break into the global top 100 most followed TikTok accounts.

In an interview with Italy’s Corriere della Sera, Khaby said: “Honestly, I never expected to be received like this. I’m really happy to be the most followed person in Italy on TikTok. For me, rankings are just numbers. Above all, my goal is to entertain people. When I post videos, people say they like my facial expressions. That’s why I keep going,” he shared.
