On the afternoon of February 1, the Hanoi Department of Health confirmed 2 new Covid-19 cases. This brings Hanoi’s total to 19 patients since the outbreak began in Hai Duong and Quang Ninh provinces.
The first patient is a male, born in 1974, living in Me Linh district, and is a close contact (F1) of patient 1724. His detailed exposure history has not yet been released.
Patient 1724, N.V.H., a 41-year-old male, works at the Z153 factory under the Technical Department of the Ministry of Defense in Dong Anh town. He is a colleague and contact of patient 1694. Mr. H. has a very busy schedule, including daily school runs for his child, attending gatherings, and visiting coffee shops.

The second patient is a male, born in 1962, living in Nam Tu Liem district, and is a close contact (F1) of patient 1814. His exposure history has also not been disclosed yet.
Patient 1814, Đ.T.T., a 50-year-old female, is a teacher at Sao Do Secondary School in Chi Linh, Hai Duong. Her family includes five members: the patient and her husband, two sons, and a daughter-in-law. Their permanent address is 9 Bach Dang Street, Hung Dao Ward, Sao Do, Chi Linh city, Hai Duong. The family recently purchased a house in My Dinh 2 and moved there on January 27.
She traveled to Hai Duong on January 23-24 and organized a wedding for her eldest son, N.B.T. (born 1992), at the Viet Tien Son wedding hall in Sao Do, Chi Linh, Hai Duong.
The younger son has also tested positive for Covid-19 and is identified as patient 1815.
