A guy with the username Qiaoben has been a huge fan of the game Three Kingdoms Kill Online for 15 years.
He even holds the highest rank in the game.
But recently, his experience hasn’t been so great.
Even though he wins matches, the player noticed that after each game, his opponents throw items like eggs and straw sandals at his avatar, causing virtual “insults” to his character’s face. He claims he’s been targeted with these items over 4,800 times in the past six months. According to him, this is how opponents vent their frustration after losing.
The breaking point came in a recent game where he endured a virtual “insult” lasting over 90 seconds. Since all players in the match could see these attacks, he was furious. He says his dignity and self-respect were deeply hurt and he felt discouraged.
The gamer points out that these items can be obtained for free through in-game events or bought in the item shop. So, Qiaoben insists the game company has “accepted” and “allowed” this toxic behavior to boost sales and profits.
After complaints to customer support went nowhere, the player has now filed a lawsuit against the company seeking compensation.
