One recent case has been stirring up the online community.
The main figure in this story is Lu Yanyan, a female gamer from Henan, China. Normally, her gaming wouldn’t raise any eyebrows. But unexpectedly, through the game she played, she ended up “dating” 13 men at once in the truest sense, flirting and acting as an emotional support for all of them simultaneously. Of course, this service wasn’t free. As these relationships grew closer, Lu Yanyan managed to borrow a total of 400,000 yuan (around 1.4 billion VND or $230,000) from these 13 men.
All of Lu Yanyan’s “boyfriends” were fooled by her charming, polite interactions and the dreamlike image she projected. But little did they know, she was a fraud. After getting what she wanted, the beautiful woman suddenly vanished from the game. It wasn’t until some posts surfaced online that the 13 unlucky men found each other and formed a “victims group” to confront Lu Yanyan at her home, demanding answers.
Authorities have now stepped in, and the “beautiful” gamer is currently in custody for investigation. According to the victims, Lu Yanyan isn’t as pretty as her photos suggest. She is reportedly married with a child. Her usual tactic was to play the victim, delivering convincing performances to scam money from trusting men and gamers.
