The “victim” here is Xiao Fu, a 19-year-old college student in China. It all began when Xiao Fu, who had just broken up with his girlfriend two months earlier, got bored and started playing games online. He downloaded a voice chat app and accidentally met someone who seemed like a perfect match. Like fish to water, they played games and chatted, and feelings grew until they became a couple without even realizing it. Later, once she had him hooked, the girlfriend started persuading Xiao Fu to send her money, claiming she needed it for medical treatment, to pursue a streaming career, and to meet platform KPIs. She promised to pay him back once she started earning.
To win her over, Xiao Fu agreed to send money 94 times, with the total amount reaching over ten billion VND. However, he eventually felt uneasy and arranged to meet his girlfriend in person on August 1st to make their relationship official, but she never showed up. Before that, he had also asked for a FaceTime call, but she remained silent. Xiao Fu’s parents soon found out and took him to the police station.
After investigation, it turned out that Xiao Fu’s girlfriend was Hoang, a woman weighing nearly 200kg. To attract men while chatting or dating online, she used photos of other beautiful women and internet hot girls. Besides Xiao Fu, Hoang was also involved with several other men. She has now been arrested for investigation.
