Wild Rift has been available to Vietnamese players for nearly five months now, which should be enough time to fix some of the game’s persistent issues. However, one problem that still frustrates players is occasional lag during matches.
This lag doesn’t affect most players, but a portion of the community still reports frequent stuttering during matches, leading to missed combos that confuse teammates and opponents alike. By the time they realize what’s happening, their screen goes completely black as they respawn.
Recently, one Wild Rift player caused a stir by smashing his iPhone in frustration over lag. The last screenshot he took shows the connection status bar still green, suggesting the lag wasn’t due to network issues.
Many players shared different views, with some saying, “It’s weird. Since the latest update, lag has dropped a lot. Before, playing on WiFi was impossible, ping was always 700 to 999. Now the connection is solid green all the time.” This shows Riot Games and VNG have made strong efforts to improve connection stability for players.
However, some players pointed out, “Ping usually stays around 40-70, but if you get matched with players from other countries, it spikes to 300-999.” So while lag still happens, it’s less common than before. Only a small number of players experience it now.
Unfortunately, this player was part of the minority still dealing with lag, and his iPhone paid the price. Some joked that on the bright side, this might be a chance for him to upgrade to a better phone. It’s true that people can always find a silver lining to make life a little happier.
