Nguyễn Hoàng Mỹ Kim, from Bến Tre, is currently a third-year International Business student at Saigon University. At 22, she’s known as an active student and a dedicated contributor to Garena Free Fire as a female referee.
With a passion for esports, she says her journey began when she helped organize and run tournaments for Saigon University’s Esports Club.
Mỹ Kim believes that to be a good referee, you first need to understand and play Free Fire well, react quickly to situations, and since the job involves a lot of standing, good health is essential.
At first, Mỹ Kim hadn’t played Free Fire, so she took time to get familiar with the game. She also learned a lot from experienced seniors, which helped her adapt quickly.
This job is both her passion and a chance to learn, grow, and develop herself. It also provides her with a steady income.
After gaining recognition at the ĐTDV Finals, the third-year student feels lucky to be loved by many. Her daily life remains normal, but she’s received more attention on social media.
This increased visibility led to Mỹ Kim’s images being misused on several adult websites to promote questionable apps. Upon discovering this, she and her friends quickly reported the cases to the platforms, which were then properly handled.
With early success and fan support, Mỹ Kim uses this as motivation to do even better. She also wants to try modeling and is currently building her personal TikTok channel, hoping for great results soon.
