Facebook’s blue checkmark has long been a symbol of trust and authenticity on the platform. It not only confirms an account is official but also highlights a user’s prominence on the social network. Almost everyone on Facebook dreams of having this badge next to their name.
Not long ago, Twitter started letting users buy blue checkmarks. Now Facebook is doing something similar. On his page, Mark Zuckerberg said: “We’re rolling out Meta Verified, a service that lets you verify your account with ID and get a blue checkmark. It also protects your account from impersonators and gives you direct access to customer support.
This new feature aims to boost authenticity and security across our services. Meta Verified starts at $11.99 per month on the web and $14.99 per month on iOS. We’re launching in Australia and New Zealand this week and will expand to more countries soon.”
This move shows Meta’s smart awareness of how much users worldwide value this “power badge.” With prices ranging from about 285,000 VND to nearly 360,000 VND, many Facebook users in Vietnam will likely jump at the chance to get the blue checkmark once Meta launches it locally.
