Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, known as a crypto wizard and Time magazine’s Person of the Year, has become a familiar figure in online communities over the past few years. Not only does he shock people with his often bold and controversial statements, but his cryptic tweets have also caused wild swings in various cryptocurrencies. The most notable example is Dogecoin, which went from an unknown token to gaining significant status thanks to Musk’s relentless promotion.

After a period of relative silence, Elon Musk has recently posted fewer tweets influencing the crypto market. Some assumed he was busy with other matters, like spending $3 billion to become a Twitter shareholder and gradually losing interest in Dogecoin. But it turns out that’s not the case. Dogecoin still holds a special place for Musk. Recently, he proposed new ideas, including the possibility of using Dogecoin to pay for Twitter Blue subscription services.

Regarding Twitter Blue, Musk estimated the subscription fee could be around $2 per month. However, users might have an alternative option to pay using Dogecoin. This isn’t the first time Musk has tried to give Dogecoin real-world value. He has previously suggested and even allowed Tesla products to be purchased with Dogecoin. This partly explains why the token gained popularity so quickly.

As usual, Dogecoin’s value showed signs of rising after Musk’s announcement. While not as dramatic as before, in a sluggish market, the coin still jumped 10%. Twitter has declined to comment on Musk’s proposals.
