Since its launch in October 2020, the PS5 quickly became the most sought-after console worldwide. Its design sparked countless memes and jokes, with fans comparing the futuristic look of the PS5 to a Stormtrooper robot or Yu-Gi-Oh’s Seto Kaiba. When Sony first revealed the PS5, many gamers weren’t impressed by its sleek, futuristic white design, which was a big change from the PS4. But most gamers focused more on the hardware and performance capabilities of the console.

Anucha Sangchart is a Thai artist living and working in Bangkok. He runs a Facebook fanpage called Lowcostcosplay with over 4.8 million followers, where he shares cosplay photos that regularly get tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of reactions online. Every photo he posts makes people laugh out loud with how creative and funny they are. In his latest work, Lowcostcosplay showed how he turned his newly bought PS5 into the character Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh.

Specifically, Lowcostcosplay posted a photo showing how he transformed the PS5 into a costume inspired by Seto Kaiba. Using a white base with blue accents on the sides, he made himself look just like Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh. For those who don’t know, Seto Kaiba is the rival and antagonist to the main character Yugi Moto in the Yu-Gi-Oh series.
Some gamers might be annoyed thinking that Lowcostcosplay, who owns one of the rare PS5s sold recently, isn’t using it for gaming but just for cosplay. However, many others appreciate the artistic angle, seeing it as a clever way to blend the PS5 into his unique art project.

This also highlights a perfect example of how video games, anime, cosplay, and social media culture intersect. The post has already gained over 150,000 likes on Instagram just one day after being shared and has been reposted across many gaming communities.
