In today’s digital age, the internet has become an easy way for many to make money, sometimes so much that people don’t hesitate to quit their current jobs. The story of a young woman in China is a perfect example.
According to World Of Buzz, citing Oriental Daily, a preschool teacher named Ms. Huang from Wuhan, Hubei suddenly went viral after a video showed her singing and teaching a kindergarten song.

Shared on social media, Ms. Huang’s youthful, beautiful face with fair, glowing skin and delicate features caught attention. Combined with her sweet singing voice, she quickly won the hearts of netizens, with her video racking up over 100 million views and countless fans.
In a short time, this lovely young woman gained more than 4 million followers. Encouraged by her fans, she held her first livestream. Tens of thousands tuned in, sending gifts every few seconds.

Moved by the support and encouragement from her fans, the preschool teacher was brought to tears and thanked everyone warmly.
“I’m so happy and excited. I never expected to make this much money. Just one livestream earned me more than 10 years of my preschool teaching salary. Thank you all so much,” Ms. Huang shared emotionally.

It’s reported that Ms. Huang earned between 400,000 to 500,000 Chinese yuan (about 1.3 to 1.7 billion VND) from that single livestream. Meanwhile, the average monthly salary for a preschool teacher in Wuhan is around 3,000 yuan, roughly 10 million VND. This means her livestream earnings matched what she would make in 10 years as a teacher.
Because of this huge gap, Ms. Huang decided to quit her teaching job and focus on livestreaming full-time. In just three livestreams, she made about 2 million yuan (nearly 6.8 billion VND).
Many people said if they were in Ms. Huang’s shoes, they would also quit to focus on livestreaming. Some suggested teacher salaries should be reconsidered to ensure a decent living and prevent brain drain, which could hurt education quality and students’ futures.
However, others pointed out that while making money online can be easy, it’s also unstable and risky. You might become famous overnight, but your reputation can be destroyed just as fast. Without managing your image well, everything you gain can quickly disappear.
