This virtual idol, named Ayayi, is already a huge hit in China. She even has her own social media accounts on Instagram and TikTok. Ayayi’s TikTok has attracted over 50,000 followers despite being newly launched.
Just over a month after her debut, Ayayi has already received numerous invitations to commercial events and advertising contracts, creating an unexpected sensation in the world’s most populous country.
According to Ranmai Technology, Ayayi’s skin is specially designed to adapt to different lighting and shadows, mimicking real human skin. This advanced tech even recreates dead skin on her fingertips, leaving viewers amazed.
After gaining fame, the company organized a series of meet-and-greet events that attracted not only fans but also many key opinion leaders across China.
This isn’t China’s first virtual idol. Others like Lạc Thiên Y, Ling, and Amy have also caught attention before, but none stood out quite like Ayayi. Virtual idols have many advantages: they aren’t limited by geography, don’t worry about scandals, and don’t need to eat or sleep. They can work far more efficiently than real people.
