Following this year’s CrossFire eSports schedule, the CROSSFIRE ELITE LEAGUE 2022 Season 1 (CFEL 2022 Season 1) has officially been announced. Publisher VTC Online confirmed the tournament will run from May 3 to June 12.
Specifically, the group stage’s first leg will take place from May 3 to May 26. Then the second leg runs from May 27 to June 9. During this phase, teams will compete in a double round-robin format with best-of-two matches.
The playoffs will be held on June 11 with best-of-three matches to determine which teams advance to the finals. The grand final on June 12 will use a best-of-five double-elimination format to decide third place and the championship.
The total prize pool is 230 million VND, distributed as follows:
• Champion: 100 million VND
• Runner-up: 50 million VND
• Third place: 30 million VND
• Fourth place: 20 million VND
• 5th-6th place: 10 million VND
• 7th-8th place: 5 million VND
Eight professional teams will compete in CFEL 2022 Season 1. Four teams qualified by ranking highest in last season, and four teams promoted from the recent CSC 2022 semi-pro tournament. The full pro lineup includes:

Notably, ROMBOSS CFVN and KING FREEDOM have impressively risen from the grassroots CLAN WAR scene, through the CSC 2022 semi-pro league, straight into the professional CFEL 2022 Season 1. Their rapid climb makes them key teams to watch, as they bring fresh strength to CrossFire’s toughest eSports stage.
Also interesting are team name pairs like LE HEROKING and HEROKING, or LAST LEGENDS and CELEB.e2L (formerly LAST LEGENDS). This hints at major clans evolving into professional training hubs for top-tier players. It’s an encouraging sign for CrossFire eSports, possibly laying the foundation for future pro organizations.
Initially, large clans gather talented players to build strong rosters. Over time, this model could shift toward professional eSports organizations. These groups play a vital role in talent development, managing sponsorships, advertising, and investments.
But that’s for the future. Right now, get ready for intense, high-level CrossFire matches starting May 3. Games will be held at fixed times, 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM on match days. All matches will be streamed live on official CrossFire channels like the CrossFire Trong Tam Ngam fanpage, CrossFire TV, and the CROSSFIRE VN YouTube channel.
