Today (December 19), BKAV officially launched the new generation of Bphone, featuring the A series models aimed at the budget and mid-range market.
These models are produced under an ODM setup, meaning BKAV doesn’t handle the design or manufacturing directly but partners with another company. BKAV focuses on software development and quality testing.
Since the Bphone A series doesn’t bring new hardware innovations, BKAV has been highlighting the phone’s software features. Just yesterday, BKAV CEO Nguyễn Tử Quảng posted on social media about the anti-theft feature integrated into BKAV Mobile Security (BMS).

Mr. Quảng claims the Bphone A series is “impenetrable,” meaning thieves can’t use or control the device even after a factory reset.
“By deeply integrating security technologies into the phone’s hardware, these Bphones become impenetrable. Even if a thief holds the device, they can’t use or control it after a factory reset.
So if the phone is lost and the owner locks it, the device basically turns into a paperweight and can’t be sold to secondhand shops. The only option left is to contact the owner to return it.”, the BKAV CEO wrote on social media.
He went further, confidently calling this feature “world-class,” “unmatched by any other brand,” and “not even available on flagship devices costing thousands of dollars.”
When a user pointed out that Apple and Samsung have similar features, Mr. Quảng insisted, “In terms of security, Apple and Samsung can’t match BKAV. You should be proud of our Vietnamese companies.”
The CEO even suggested this feature helps people become more humane. A user argued that thieves who can’t unlock a stolen phone might just throw it away instead of returning it.
Mr. Quảng responded:
“When the phone can’t be used, there are two types of people. The first has goodwill and contacts the owner to return it. The second tries to negotiate a ransom. Other brands’ phones aren’t locked thoroughly, so thieves get greedy and keep or sell them. Thanks to Bphone’s technology, people become more humane, right?“

Previously, BKAV shared data showing that 89% of Bphone users recovered their lost devices. However, the company hasn’t revealed how this figure was calculated.
The Bphone A series launch event will take place at 6 PM on December 19 and will be livestreamed across multiple platforms. Besides CEO Nguyễn Tử Quảng, comedian Xuân Bắc will also participate.
