Not only have her views dropped sharply, but even some loyal fans are growing tired of her repetitive dishes and lack of creativity, especially after past drama involving her son. Recently, she stirred up mixed reactions again after posting a video about her “Super Giant Pearl Fried Rice.”
Just hearing the dish’s name makes many people curious and puzzled about this unusual combo, probably only the most imaginative could think of it. When we hear “pearls,” most immediately think of bubble tea, not mixing it with a savory fried rice dish. But Bà Tân Vlog invented this recipe herself, so it’s no surprise many clicked to see her creative cooking process.
However, looking at the ingredients, viewers couldn’t spot anything that looked like pearls, while Bà Tân Vlog proceeded with the cooking as usual. At first, many hoped the video’s ending would reveal a special twist involving pearls, as teased in the title. But when the giant fried rice was done, there were no pearls in sight.
Don’t think Bà Tân Vlog made a mistake though. In the video, she explains that the name is just a fancy way to call it. The “pearls” she refers to are actually balut eggs (fertilized quail eggs), which she adds to the fried rice for extra flavor and uses the term “pearls” in the title to catch attention.
