ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) and VNG recently announced the ROG Phone Invitational Series 2022, an esports tournament for League of Legends: Wild Rift with a total prize pool of 300 million VND.
The qualifiers will run over four weeks from July 22 to August 13, selecting the top 4 teams. Then, members of the four weekly champion teams will team up with professional players to form 8 teams for the final Showmatch scheduled for August 27-28.
Through this tournament, ROG and VNG aim to support the growth of professional esports in Vietnam’s Wild Rift scene. It’s a great opportunity for young gamers to gain knowledge, skills, and competitive mindset by playing alongside pro players.

Tournament Details
Eligibility and Registration
– Participants must be Vietnamese citizens aged 18 or older living in Vietnam.
– Registration period: July 18 to August 10, 2022.

Qualifiers
– Match days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings weekly from July 22 to August 14, 2022.
– Format: Online matches.
– Registration closes every Wednesday. Teams eliminated in earlier rounds can re-register for the following weeks.
– Weekly qualifiers: Teams are randomly paired for single-elimination BO1 matches to select 16 teams advancing to the weekly livestream stage.
– Weekly livestream stage: 16 teams compete in single-elimination BO3 matches.
Final Showmatch
– Scheduled for August 27-28, 2022.
– Format: Offline event.
– The top 4 weekly champion teams enter the Showmatch. Players will be randomly assigned to teams alongside invited pro players, forming 8 teams divided into 2 groups.
– Group stage: Round-robin matches to determine the top 2 teams from each group advancing.
– Semifinals: Single-elimination BO3 matches.
– Finals: Single-elimination BO5 match.
