Clever Disguise Tricks to Evade Police
During a recent crackdown on social vices in Guangdong Province, local police uncovered and arrested a notable prostitution ring. Among those detained on site, one case surprised the entire task force during a routine check.

Although small in stature, dressed in women’s clothing and wearing a long wig, this individual’s ID card clearly listed him as male. Through interrogation, he was identified as Lam Mou Cheng, 39, a freelance worker from another area. Thanks to his slim build and detailed makeup, he successfully concealed his true gender to operate illegally in a central area without being noticed at first. At the time of arrest, Lam was preparing to meet his fourth client of the day.
Changing Location and Chasing Quick Profits
At the police station, Lam admitted to a prior record involving similar social vice activities. Noticing that service prices here were higher, around 150 yuan (over 500,000 VND) per session, he decided to move to Guangdong to continue his work.

To attract more clients, Lam invested in essentials like women’s clothes and wigs to create a convincing disguise. However, on his very first day back in the new area, authorities caught and stopped his illegal activities. He confessed that his motivation was laziness and the desire to make quick money, ignoring laws and social ethics.
Lodging Loopholes and a Lesson on Legal Awareness in China
When asked how he hid his true gender from clients, Lam revealed he took full advantage of the dim lighting in cheap, private rooms at budget inns. Money exchanges happened before entering the room to minimize disputes. He also exploited clients’ fear of being caught by police to pressure them into silence if they discovered the truth.

Lam Mou Cheng’s case is not only a costly lesson for him but also highlights the urgent need to tighten management of budget lodging and rental houses near border areas to prevent disguised social vices from spreading in the country.
