A story is stirring up social media in China after a man in Shaanxi Province was found to have spent over 270,000 yuan (nearly 1 billion VND) of his family’s business capital donating to a beautiful female streamer.
This uncontrolled behavior not only hurt the family business but also pushed a long-term marriage to the brink of collapse.

According to local media, Mr. Li and his wife ran a wholesale shop. While his wife was resting due to an injury, he took over managing the business. Instead of focusing on work, he increasingly spent time watching a female streamer on a short video platform.
The situation came to light when family members noticed he was often staying up late, calling an unknown woman. Checking his call history, they found hundreds of calls over several months, many lasting until early morning. Suspicious, his daughter looked into his financial transactions and was shocked to discover he had spent 279,000 yuan on the livestream platform. About 277,000 yuan went to buying virtual gifts for the streamer known as Apple Outdoor Streamer.
What shocked the family even more was that most of this money came directly from the shop’s working capital and inventory funds. Some of it was even borrowed money. When confronted, Mr. Li admitted he regularly donated, hoping to be the streamer’s top supporter. He said she often called to thank him after receiving gifts, which made their relationship closer. They even met and dined together in person.

However, the price of this obsession was extremely high. Constantly withdrawing money caused cash flow problems, making it impossible for the shop to pay partners on time. A business that had been stable for years suddenly faced a crisis.
Beyond financial loss, Mr. Li’s family also faced the threat of breaking apart. After discovering everything, his wife filed for divorce and asked him to leave the house. According to their daughter, Mr. Li no longer participates in livestreams or donations. To make a living, he now works as a security guard for an outside company.

Meanwhile, his wife has hired a lawyer and filed a lawsuit against the streamer, demanding a partial refund of the money considered marital assets that were misused.
From a stable business owner, Mr. Li lost over 1 billion VND, his career, and family happiness all because of his obsession with a female streamer. This story continues to draw huge public attention and serves as a warning about the unpredictable consequences of uncontrolled spending on online livestreams.
