The animal kingdom is vast and full of strange creatures that always manage to captivate us. Sometimes, it’s the oddest beings that spark the most curiosity and fascination.
Recently, Twitter users were buzzing over photos of a strange fish with thick, “seductive” lips and teeth that look remarkably human. It’s both creepy and fascinating at the same time. The photos were posted by a user named Raff Nasir, who captioned them, “This fish’s lips are even more attractive than mine.” The post has racked up 14,500 likes and thousands of comments.

These two photos of the unusual fish with human-like lips and teeth have been causing a stir on Twitter lately.
After the photos went viral, many news outlets and science magazines jumped in to identify the species. VICE reported that it belongs to the porcupinefish family, which includes about 40 species worldwide. True to its name, this fish is quite aggressive, with a powerful jaw strong enough to tear apart sea urchins or even puncture human diving gear.
The porcupinefish’s unique look quickly became a fresh meme topic across the internet.
Just a little makeup and nail polish, and it could easily rival any internet beauty star.
The porcupinefish isn’t the only sea creature with plump lips and pearly white teeth that resemble humans. For example, the sheepshead fish (also called sheepshead porgy) has a jaw that almost looks like a perfect copy of ours if you don’t look too closely. It might seem a bit creepy, but this unique dental structure helps the sheepshead crush its food easily, mainly shrimp, crabs, and shellfish. They’re commonly found in American coastal waters.

The Pacu fish, native to South America, is related to the piranha but is much calmer and mostly herbivorous. However, its incredibly strong jaws can crush hard nuts and seeds with a single bite.
