First dates are super important. Whether a relationship works out or not can often come down to those early meetings.
It’s not uncommon for girls to bring a few friends along to a date and basically “raid” the guy’s wallet. Handling that kind of situation quickly without causing hard feelings is never easy.

Recently, a netizen shared a story about being “tricked” on a date with a girl. Here’s what happened:
“I just went through a wild and intense experience, guys. Not sure if I was right or wrong, but I feel satisfied and super relieved.
I met a student girl who’s pretty fancy, always talking about traveling abroad and eating at million-dong restaurants.
Even though she’s so high-class, she agreed to have a casual meal with me at a small hotpot place near my place. Things would’ve been fine if she hadn’t brought along three or four close friends to eat with us.
At first, her friends were polite, saying they wouldn’t eat and just wanted to chat. But within ten minutes, they started ordering a bunch of expensive seafood dishes.
I had to pretend I had a stomach ache and slipped out, leaving 300,000 dong as my share and just left.
When I got home, I saw messages from the fancy girl, stressed out because she and her friends didn’t have money. I decided to ignore it, took a shower, and got ready for bed. What do you guys think, was my move smooth or not?”

This post sparked lots of different reactions. It’s clear from the start the girl was wrong to bring friends to a date with someone she met online. Not only did she bring them, but her friends also ordered expensive dishes without asking the guy.
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Some girls bring friends along to dates just to “bleed” the guy dry.
Clearly, the girl showed no respect by acting without permission. But the guy’s reaction wasn’t very classy either. No matter what, he should have stayed, settled the bill, and then decided what to do next. Running off like that was pretty immature.
This story is a lesson for anyone thinking about bringing friends on a date just to get a free meal. Make sure the person is serious about you and has invited you first, or you might end up in an awkward spot like this.
